For far too long museums have been a distant place meant for an elite class and not the common man. Even as an emerging museum professional, there are parts I felt I couldn't be part or discuss because of my own lack of experience. Because I am in the museum world I get to attend numerous events relating to history, culture, museums, and learning. From lectures and guest speakers to gallery openings, monthly socials, and general exhibitions. This challenge started as a part of my 30to30 but it was simply too large, too interesting, and I wanted to see how far it could go in a year (or further). The original idea was 30 Cultural Events at 30 Different Places between my 29th and 30th birthday. But its so big and so full of possibility. So join me on this venture discussing museums, exhibitions, shows, events and anything that fits. Because zoo's, aquariums, cultural events and so man other things fit. Living in Denver there are numerous museums and institutions so this is about finding events that interest me, going and then writing and sharing them. I won't limit it to Denver either though that will be the primary focus. This is about sharing the experiences and hopefully inspiring others to explore museums and similar themselves. I hope in sharing experiences to excite the reader (you) to attend, get interested, ask questions or even join me.
